Over the last year I have had the great pleasure of working with Craig Hendee and his falcons and hawks, including one very special peregrine falcon named Alvin. It has been a wonderful experience to work with these incredible animals. Horses and falcons have been working together for thousands of years, and that tradition continues today. I have recently started an new horse with the birds, a sweet paint mare named Tango. It is fascinating to see how much the horse enjoys working with the falcons. Tango was first introduced to Alvin, and was immediately very inquisitive and quickly became comfortable with him. Alvin is also very comfortable around the horses and seems to enjoy going for rides. It is an honor to carry on the tradition of falconry on horseback.
